三田国際に集中した対策で実力に自信が持てるようになりました(2024年度2月入試）

まずは、合格を知った時の気持ちを教えてください。

合格発表をスマホで確認して、自分の受験番号を見つけたときは、信じられなくて画面を見ながら固まっていました。父と母はすごく大喜びしていたのは覚えています。とにかくずっと第一志望でがんばってきたので、これで大好きなアニメや映画を我慢せずに思う存分観られるという解放感が大きかったと思います。その日は家族で焼肉でお祝いをしました。

入試直前の対策で特に力を入れたポイントはどこですか。
エッセイライティングと算数（リーズニング）です。エッセイはとにかく短い時間である程度の量を書くということを意識していました。算数は苦手科目だったので、英語の算数（リーズニング）に加えて日本語の算数も時間をかけました。本番の入試では解いたことのある問題が出たので「やった！」と思いました。

時間的にはどのくらいの勉強をしていたのでしょうか。
学校や塾から帰って食事などを除けば、夜12時くらいまでは勉強しました。ただ、睡眠時間は7時間半を確保するようにしていて、朝は8時起きでした。家が小学校に近くそれでも間に合っていました。

GLICCでの勉強を振り返って、好きだったところと好きではなかったところを教えてください。
クラスはフレンドリーな雰囲気でいつもクラスメートが笑って勉強しているところが好きだったところです。志望校の情報についてくわしく教えてくれるところもよかったです。自分にとってGLICCはいつも「自信」を与えてくれる場所だったと思います。好きでないところは、「宿題」が多いところかな・・・でもしっかりやっていましたよ（笑）

これから三田国際を受験する人にアドバイスをお願いします。
先生を信じて、自分に自信を持ってください。そして宿題はやりましょう（笑）

合格した感想はいかがですか。　How does it feel that you passed?

I feel happy because I fulfilled one of my goals, and some of my friends from GLICC will be going to Mita too, so I can still talk to them when I enter, and won't feel so lonely and will be easier to make more friends.　

どんな試験だったか説明してもらえますか。Can you explain the Mita exam?

I did it using the same pattern you ( the GLICC teacher) told me, and I felt most comfortable with Reading 2. The most difficult was the reasoning. The exam was very similar to how I was taught in class, and the writing in class was more difficult than the exam, so I felt the exam essay was easy. Listening to the passage was a little tricky to focus on, however writing down the notes was easy as we practiced at a higher level in class. However I felt I did pretty well in the listening due to the class practice.

　
面接はどうでしたか。　How was the interview?

The hardest part was the interview because I was very nervous. But because we practiced a lot before the exam, I was less nervous.After the real interview started it was more fun than I expected which calmed me down.
They would respond to your answers with their own input, and it was a great chance to get to know them.

GLICCでの勉強のどういう点が好きでしたか。　What did you like most about GLICC?
　
I liked that we could enjoy while learning, not only the students but also the teachers were enjoying too, so it was a good combination. Also, the homework was separated into days, which made it easier to finish in a week as you could focus on small parts of the homework each day, which was very helpful. I also liked the discussion and the educational activities we did based on the topics we were learning about, such as evolution. They were not only fun, but also helped us understand the topic more easily as they were good demonstrations for the topics and always had a point to learn from.

どこか改善して欲しい点がありますか。 Is there anything you would like to change about the school or classes?

Not really, it was interesting and fun. I also liked the badge race which motivated us into reading more books and learning more, which was fun.

後輩にアドバイスをお願いします。What advice would you give to the next students?

Use the class as a practice and learn as much as possible. Also do the mocks as they are a good way for you to understand what you need to improve and prepare for the real exam.
